Day 1

Cape Town city tour & Table Mountain

Our Africa VIP tours guide will be waiting for you at the Cape Town International Airport or you can arrange for any other point in Cape Town where we can pick you up for your 4-day (3 nights) CAPE TOWN VIP PLUS tour!

Your tour starts with sightseeing of Cape Town which is actually not a town but a modern multi-cultural city with a rich history. Your professional guide will stop at the Company’s Gardens, the Castle of Good Hope, Signal Hill and Camps Bay. In Camps Bay is various beachfront restaurants where you can have lunch and then you will be on our way to the top of Table Mountain with the Cableway. From the top you will have spectacular sights of the Mother City, including the Peninsula and Robben Island.

You will have the opportunity to enjoy dinner at any of the exquisite restaurants that the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront has to offer before returning to your hotel which will be situated nearby. You can always ask your guide for suggestions if you have something specific in mind.

Overnight:       Hotel at the V&A Waterfront

Day 2

Cape Peninsula Tour

You will be on your way to Hout Bay after a delicious buffet breakfast at the hotel. You will drive along the coast, through Seapoint and stop at Clifton where you can take timeless photos of the Twelve Apostles Mountains and the endless Atlantic Ocean. At Hout Bay Harbour you will enjoy a 45-minute boat trip to Duiker Island where you will visit a large seal colony. The experienced captain will drive the boat to the numerous seals where they are always feeding and playing in the splendid turquoise water.

After Hout Bay, you will be on your way to one of the world’s most spectacular roads: Chapman’s Peak Drive. The road is cut into the 650m high Chapman’s Peak on an edge overlooking the sea and while you sit amazed, we will descend towards Noordhoek and continue to the Cape Point Nature Reserve. It is said that the stormy water of the Atlantic Ocean meets the warmer water of the Indian Ocean here. The adventure junkies can use the stairs to the lighthouse at the top while other tourists may prefer riding on the Flying Dutchman funicular railway.

You will have time to enjoy lunch at the Two Oceans restaurant before we continue to Boulders Beach which is an isolated haven for a colony of African penguins.

Overnight:     Hotel at the V&A Waterfront

Day 3

Cape Winelands

After another scrumptious breakfast at the hotel, we are on our way to the Cape Winelands. Our first stop will be in the historical village of Franschhoek where the French Huguenots started wine making in South Africa when they arrived here in 1688. The French Huguenots received land from the Dutch East Indian Company and many vineyards were established. Some of the world’s best wines are still made here today. Franschhoek have been described by many as the “food and wine capital of South Africa”. You will visit the Monument of the French Huguenots and museum before enjoying lunch at one of the many exceptional restaurants.

After lunch you will visit a prestigious Wine Estate in the Franschhoek region for tasting some of their fine wines.

And then we depart to Stellenbosch that was founded in 1679 by Simon van der Stel. Since Oak trees are planted next to most of the roads, the town became known as “the City of Oaks”. You will do a tour through this lovely town which partly belongs to the University of Stellenbosch before we visit another famous Wine Estate located nearby.

Before returning to Cape Town you will visit a total of 3 Wine Estates!

Day 4

Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens

After a last delightful breakfast, you will be checking out of the hotel and will be on your way to Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens – one of the most beautiful and most diverse botanical gardens in the world! This living display features about 4,700 of the estimated 20,000 species of indigenous South African flora and almost half of the Peninsula’s floral wealth. Major regions of South Africa is represented here like Fynbos, Savanna and Karoo. Related plants are grouped together. In 1660 a small section of Wild Almond hedge was planted here by the Dutch settler Jan van Riebeeck and Cecil John Rhodes planted an avenue of Camphor trees and fig trees here in 1898.

The Boomslang (meaning tree snake) is a Tree Canopy Walkway that opened in May 2014 and it was designed as a new feature to mark Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden’s centenary. It is a low impact and low maintenance bridge made of timber and curved steel that weaves its way through and over the trees of the Arboretum.

Exciting sections at Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens includes the Cycad Amphitheatre (where most species of these ‘living fossils’ in southern Africa can be found) the famous Protea Garden on the hill, the J.V. Mathews Rock Garden (named after the first curator) that contains succulents of the genera Crassula, Aloe, Lampranthus and Euphorbia; the Erica Garden and the Pelargonium Koppie and you will adore the scents of the plants at the Fragrance Garden. You may also like to try out the Braille Trail for visually impaired visitors or have a look at the sculptures or medicinal plants and get a tasty lunch or simply something to drink before our guide will transfer you to the airport or any other destination in Cape Town as your last day of the tour of a lifetime comes to an end.
