Flying to the Victoria Falls
Your VIP safari of a lifetime begins when you board the airplane at the O.R Tambo International Airport, Johannesburg. As you descend for the landing, you could catch a glimpse of the Victoria Falls or “Mosi-oa-Tunya” in Tonga – meaning The Smoke That Thunders in English. The flight takes less than two hours before you arrive at the Victoria Falls Airport in Zimbabwe for the start of your wonderful 5-day African adventure.
Our representative will meet you at the airport and transport you in luxury to the hotel for check-in. There are great activities available at the Victoria Falls therefor the first afternoon you will have enough leisure time to fit in as many extra endeavors as imaginable. For example, you may choose to fly in a helicopter across the Victoria Waterfalls; or do a bungee jump from the 111-meter-high bridge; or consider zip-lining the flying fox across the river. Maybe your cup of tea is to go on the world’s wildest white-water rafting trip; or maybe kayaking; or a thrilling gorge swing. Of course, having a romantic lunch at the Lookout Café will always become a precious memory. A list of all extra endeavors will be provided before you arrive.
Your perfect day will end with a sunset boat cruise on the mighty Zambezi while you enjoy complimentary snacks & drinks. During this cruise you will get a chance to spot more elephant, hippo and crocodile!
Exploring the Victoria Falls
A qualified guide will collect you at the hotel after a heavenly breakfast. Now you are on your way to go on a 3-hour tour of the magnificent Victoria Falls. You will be exploring the rainforest and along the way your guide will give a summarized version of the history of the Victoria falls and point out special places, plants, birds & wildlife. Raincoats will be available if you prefer to wear it. The footpath will lead you to sixteen various viewpoints. The electrifying sensation of actually standing on the edge of the cliff above the powerful Zambezi waters is something you will cherish forever.
The afternoon will be at leisure so you will be able to fit in more extra endeavors if you prefer. You will feast on a 4-course dinner tonight at the Boma Restaurant with African drums and traditional dances. To set the mood for this special occasion, you will be dressed in a traditional robe on arrival. African sounds, flavors and sights will be enjoyed under partially opened African skies. You will forever treasure tonight’s memory of this mouth-watering dining and entertainment extravaganza.
The Voyage to the Chobe National Park
After another superb breakfast our representative will transfer you in luxury across the border into Botswana to the Chobe National Park. Chobe is recognized for its huge numbers of wildlife that roam freely on the riverbanks and swamps of this colossal conservation region. It also hosts the highest concentration of elephants on the continent.
You can freshen up after checking in at the majestic lodge and then it would be time to relax on the deck with a drink in the hand – overlooking the mighty Zambezi River. At about three o’clock (15h00) a professional ranger will be taking us on an afternoon safari in an open 4×4 vehicle.
Three to four hours later, we will be back at camp and it will be time for an extraordinary dinner in the boma area. When you are properly nourished and ready to go to Dreamland, your luxurious bed will be waiting for you.
Wildlife Safari Deluxe
One safari is not enough if you are in the Chobe National Park because it is enormous and surprises can jump out behind every bush. Open top 4×4 vehicles will be used for land-based safari’s today whilst water-safaris will be hosted from boats. You will get the perfect opportunity to take exceptional photos because these professional guides will bring you close-up with the wilderness & wildlife.
